  • La Paz: Rainforest and Waterfalls

On the way to the La Paz Waterfall Gardens, you will enjoy beautiful landscapes of coffee and sugar plantations, and sugar fields, as well as picturesque homes adorned with flowers. At the La Paz Waterfall Gardens, a pleasant trail will take us to five impressive cascades. Here we can visit the largest butterfly garden in Central America, as well as a hummingbird garden, orchid garden, snake exhibition, frog exhibition and the traditional house La Paz,which will take you back to the 1800s, letting you see how Costa Ricans lived then.

You will begin with a drive through the lush coffee plantations of the Alajuela Province as you reach 8,884 feet above sea level there is the Poas Volcano., you will see the steaming fumaroles of the awesome crater which is 1.5 km wide and enjoy the breathtaking views of the Central Valley. This is the most visited National Park in Costa Rica.
After admiring the wonders of Poas National Park, you will enjoy a scenic trip in route to the Oxcart Factory in Sarchi­ and along the way, enjoy a typical Costa Rican lunch. Sarchi,
which is the artisan center of Costa Rica, is the home to some of Costa Rica's finest masters of handcrafted art work in the country; here you will observe the artisans paintings, right before your eyes

From San Jose we will head towards the Pacific Coast through the old Spanish route of 1606.
tarcoles Once we reach our destination, we will start the jungle boat tour that goes along the Tarcoles River. Our guides will introduce you to the world of crocodiles and different species of birds. Thereafter we will arrive at one of the most beautiful protected areas, the Punta Leona Beach Resort, an exotic paradise surrounded by 750 acres of lush tropical rain forest, pristine white sand beaches and the deep blue waters of the Pacific. The day is at leisure and you will have plenty of time to enjoy the pleasant weather as well as activities such as water sports, swimming in the crystal clear water of the sea or just relaxing by the pool. You will continue the tour to the beautiful Lankaster Gardens where there over 3000 species of plants, which includes a spectacular collection of orchids.
